Inventory reports: follow your sales and stock with data

Good stock decisions start with knowing what sells and where stock flows. StokTakip's reports screen turns your orders and stock movements into summary charts.

The data is there, the summary isn't

Orders and stock movements are recorded, but seeing which products carry revenue, whether returns are rising, or which warehouse fulfills orders best means pulling the data together separately.

Preparing those summaries by hand every month takes time and often doesn't happen, so decisions end up based on gut feeling.

Automatic summaries from orders and stock movements

The reports screen shows total revenue from delivered sales orders and the number of items sold, plus your best sellers by revenue with units sold.

The monthly trend chart shows revenue, order count, returns and return rate per month. The stock movement chart compares stock coming in and going out by month.

The warehouse table shows each warehouse's orders, delivered orders and fulfillment rate; the category breakdown shows the number of products, total stock value and share of each category.

How it works

  1. Open the reports screen

See revenue and items sold on the summary cards.

  2. Check best sellers

See which products carry revenue, with units sold.

  3. Compare trends

Follow monthly revenue, orders, return rate and stock in/out.

  4. Look at warehouses and categories

Review each warehouse's fulfillment rate and each category's share of stock value.

In practice: turning reports into decisions

Put the best sellers list at the center of stock decisions. Reviewing minimum levels and supply plans for the products that carry revenue prevents the most expensive sell-outs.

On the monthly trend chart, check whether revenue and order count move together. More orders with flat revenue may mean smaller baskets; a rising return rate suggests reviewing descriptions, images or packaging.

On the stock movement chart, stock in staying below stock out for long means inventory is shrinking; the opposite means stock is piling up. The category share of stock value shows where your capital is tied up.

For warehouses with a low fulfillment rate, look at why orders don't reach delivered; sometimes it's the process, sometimes statuses simply aren't updated. Reports are only as accurate as the orders and movements you record.

Make reports a month-end habit: looking at best sellers, return rate and the stock in/out balance together gives a solid basis for next month's purchasing and campaign plans.

Base team decisions on the same data, such as improving descriptions in a category with many returns, or slowing purchases in a category that ties up a lot of stock value but sells little.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the report data come from?

Reports are calculated from the orders, products and stock movements you record in StokTakip; there's nothing extra to enter.

How is the return rate calculated?

For each month, it's the number of return orders divided by the total number of orders that month.

What does warehouse fulfillment rate show?

How many of the orders tied to a warehouse have reached delivered.

Can I export reports to Excel or PDF?

Not yet. Reports are shown in the dashboard for now; export is on the list of future features.

How is revenue calculated?

Revenue is the total of delivered sales orders. Pending, processing or cancelled orders aren't included.

How is a category's stock value calculated?

Each product's stock quantity is multiplied by its sale price and summed per category; the share is that value over total stock value.

How often are reports updated?

The reports screen is recalculated from current orders and stock movements every time you open it; there's no separate refresh to wait for.
